Hi! We are Adam and Kaitlin Neal, and we, alongside our three girls, have been calling Hendersonville, NC home for three and a half years now (go ahead and call us locals). We moved here from the other side of the state to launch our non-profit, The Refuge Retreat.

Although fully separate, Refuge Coffee Co was birthed out of a dream to share our story with our community. We believe that something simple, like a cup of coffee, can open up the door for incredible conversation and community. We like to dream big and consistently create around here. We believe that anything is possible. So in August of 2022, instead of buying a dog, we decided to buy a super old horse trailer, and in our spare time (lol) turn it into one of our dreams, a mobile coffee shop. If you think it looks like we know what we are doing, don’t be fooled. That’s the beauty of it though. Learning something new, stepping out of our comfort zone and trusting the process is something that we have really come to enjoy.

When you have a cup of Refuge Coffee, we hope you experience inspiration to chase your dreams, encouragement to grow in community with other people, and most of all, an absolutely delicious cup of coffee.

It’s safe to say we have our hands full but there isn’t any other place we’d rather be. We are dreamers, but we’re also storytellers. We all are storytellers and we can’t wait to hear yours.
